At 17, my life changed in an instant. A serious car accident put me in a coma and I was hospitalised for nearly two weeks with a broken pelvis punctured lung, broken ribs, ruptured spleen which had to come out. My long road to recovery led me straight to the gym — determined to rebuild my strength as quickly as possible.
I gravitated towards powerlifting, surrounded by friends who shared the same passion. Choosing to compete in the BDFPA was an easy decision — I wanted nothing to do with performance-enhancing drugs or the damaging stereotypes attached to them. My focus was always on training hard, staying natural, and pushing my limits the right way.

Fast forward >>>>
5 years after my accident and a lot of hard work, I entered my first meet — and qualified for British Championships 2017. But as a drug-free athlete, I quickly discovered one of my biggest frustrations as a tested Athlete: finding supplements I could trust.

The sports nutrition world is flooded with bold claims, misleading marketing, and influencers selling “magic beans”. I don’t mind magic beans, I can figure that stuff out for myself, but for athletes subject to drug testing, the lack of transparency was staggering.
Some companies would certify just one batch of one flavour, while leaving countless others unchecked – baseless claims that 'you won't fail a drugs test' with no evidence of actual WADA approved testing — and even if it was tested…. rarely showing the tested batch codes online. I found myself either avoiding supplements altogether or sticking to the same brand over and over simply because I didn’t trust the alternatives.

The big WHY for me
That big frustration became SIV and why we do what we do. Alongside my husband Harry — who I actually met at a 4 Nations competition in Ireland — we are setting out to create a simpler, centralised place for tested Athletes to get the supplements they need without the online confusion.
We work directly with suppliers to cut through the noise! We ensure every product, every batch is certified, and record it for complete accountability — so our customers know exactly what they’re getting with variety in one place.
Taking on the role of COO means I can directly influence how we support tested athletes, ensuring they have safe, certified nutrition options to perform at their absolute best.
And yes… I still lift heavy — maybe not 100000000kg anymore, but I’m working on it 😉
The perspective
American v.s The British
Anyone who has worked with or stepped into one of the giant U.S. PXs. (Walmart for soldiers) — will recall how easily the American troops could grab bags of Whey Protein, pre-workout, Creatine etc off the shelves. Their military supported access to supplements.
The Issue for us:
- Informed-Sport certification.
- No stores / companies could meet this requirement.
- No easy place to buy with confidence, find products that are certified and actually screened for banned substances.
There are zero UK vending companies, online stores or even in-person stores solely dedicated to a range of Informed-Sport products. No central place to buy with confidence, where the store checks the batch codes, checks authenticity and verifies the source.
So, I've taken a leap of faith and set out to change that! Vending in the Gyms and a central online store.
