After 12 years in the Army — spending 7 of those years coaching, delivering Physical Training or officiating Sports and Competitions
There was always the same question that cropped up
Why was it so hard to get clean, performance-focused Nutrition in Military gyms or somewhere around the workplace and even online?
The need for better nutrition has always been there for me.
Milk rations for all junior soldiers — sugar-loaded UHT milk. Even back then, the same question kept coming up
Why isn’t there a better option? Surely!
Why couldn’t we get on the go access to high quality protein shakes, creatine to support ATP, and other beneficial, low-sugar, science backed snacks and drinks that actually support performance and recovery for the training we were all doing? Elite level sports teams seemed to have this sorted, why not the Armed Forces.
Noted -- Yes Diet is key! But… is everyone looking at what foods contain what nutrients. Are those foods available nearby. Out of hours? A Vending Machine seemed like a good start to at least give everyone a choice.
The perspective
American v.s The British
Anyone who has worked with or stepped into one of the giant U.S. PXs. (Walmart for soldiers) — will recall how easily the American troops could grab bags of Whey Protein, pre-workout, Creatine etc off the shelves. Their military supported access to supplements.
The Issue for us:
- Informed-Sport certification.
- No stores / companies could meet this requirement.
- No easy place to buy with confidence, find products that are certified and actually screened for banned substances.
There are zero UK vending companies, online stores or even in-person stores solely dedicated to a range of Informed-Sport products. No central place to buy with confidence, where the store checks the batch codes, checks authenticity and verifies the source.
So, I've taken a leap of faith and set out to change that! Vending in the Gyms and a central online store.

With growing demand for shopping online, fake and counterfeit supplements are finding their way onto global giant, third-party selling platforms 👀
The more I've looked into verifying the sources of supplements and the genuine test results of products, the more confusing things got.
Some brands certify one flavour, not the rest of their range.
Some certify only certain batches, while some products look identical but aren’t tested.
Some don't screen their products at all for contaminants, yet claim they are safe for tested Athletes.
Even certified products are confusing- Two tubs could look the same on the outside, but only one is actually certified.
Example:
You see a product listed as Informed-Sport certified with batch code ABC123.
You order the same product—same brand, same label—but the batch code that arrives at your door is CBA321FAA.
Was it tested? Is it safe? Or are you rolling the dice?
As a Soldier, Athlete, or Professional governed by anti-doping rules, whether you compete in a federation that screens for banned substances — that uncertainty just isn’t acceptable.
